Транспортная функция лимфатической системы является важнейшей составляющей поддержания тканевого гомеостаза. Интенсивность лимфообразования, а следовательно, и транспорт лимфы зависят от конкретных условий в разных участках организма. Обеспечение эффективного лимфооттока становится возможным лишь при условии сохранения адекватной сократительной активности миоцитов лимфатических сосудов, которая имеет многоуровневый механизм регуляции.
