Целью исследования было изучение взаимосвязи между уровнем лептина и показателями когнитивных функций у пациентов с артериальной гипертензией (АГ) и ожирением. В результате проведенного исследования было продемонстрировано, что у пациентов с АГ, ожирением и когнитивными нарушениями уровень лептина был выше по сравнению с таковым у больных без когнитивных расстройств. Повышение лептина может быть одним из механизмов развития когнитивных расстройств у данной категории пациентов.

The goal of this study was to see association between cognitive function and leptin among patients with arterial hypertension and obesity. In the study, it was demonstrated that in patients with arterial hypertension, obesity and cognitive impairments the level of leptin was higher as compared with patients without cognitive disorders. Increase of leptin may be one of the mechanisms of the development of cognitive disorders in this category of patients.
