Abstract

Results of this investigation show that IL-1β (Betaleukin) has a direct inhibitory effect on the contractile function of the bovine lymph nodes. Relaxation responses of smooth muscle of capsule of lymph nodes on the action IL-1β at a concentration of 2.5x10-15 M to 2.5x10-10 M were dose-dependent manner and were manifested in the form of lower amplitude and phase frequency of contractile activity of smooth muscle and decrease of the tone. The inhibitory effects of IL-1β were significantly decrease after previous adding of aspirin, whereas the use of an inhibitor of nitric NO L-NAME is not prevented the relaxation responses initiated by the action of IL-1β. The obtained data suggest that the direct inhibitory effect of IL-1β on the contractile activity of smooth muscle capsule of lymph nodes is realized mainly by a prostaglandin-dependent pathway.
